Personal background |
Hello! I'm an 18-year-old first-year student at Denison University in Granville, OH--600+ miles from my home in Stonington, CT--and I'm majoring in English (it might change later). I'm currently unemployed, though most likely during the summer I'll continue working as a camp counselor for kids. One of my favorite hobbies is playing the flute (and piccolo, which I just started this schoolyear); in fact, I'm very involved in the music department here at Denison: I take private flute lessons, and I'm in the Wind Ensemble as well as Flute Choir. This semester I joined Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and I'm soon to be initiated as an official new members. (I love my sisters!!) I have a 15-year-old brother, who's a freshman in high school; my mom's a fourth grade teacher; and my dad's a surgeon. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I've heard about this project before, and even though I'm by no means a science expert/geek or anything like that, I thought it would be extremely interesting. (I'm sure my brother would like it too). I'd like to think that there are other life forms out there, and I wouldn't mind being one of the first to know about it! I'm taking an introductory Astronomy course this semester, which, so far, has been pretty fun. |
