Personal background
Educated in two countries, and respectful of the world's small size in comparison of the universe beyond our backyard called the solarsystem, I'd like to know how many other people want to explore, and not just look up and say 'wow', 'nice view.'
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Speaking of the SETI program, people have argued "who uses radio waves"? And to the people who are interested in finding intelligence with the fact that people or species beyond our comprehension could also have evolved differently, would have to say "we're looking at this part of the electro-magnetic spectrum for now because we can" because it would be nice to know that someone else has used the same part of the electromagnetic spectrum in their own evolution.

Intelligence doesn't mean using a radio wave to talk, as it can also be used to look up, look around and through. Radar has been useful in looking at the surfaces of planets and listen to the interior's of gas giants. Other's may have done the very same things elsewhere.

I'm interested in intelligent life anywhere, and intelligence means living beyond just our own expected life expectancies.
