Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
While in the USAF (1968) I worked in the base photo lab and helped AF Intelligence officers make prints from the original negatives of a sequence of shots of a perfectly visible daytime disk, quite detailed to include what could pass for 'windows.' It was evaluated not to have been achieved by trick photography.
As a result I later became an expert on topic. At one time I was deeply involved in UFO research and discovered the only known geometric pattern to be found in sighting locations. It also had a time pattern. The image shape was a box with an x. Using the time pattern allowed me to calculate the approprate date and location of some of the sightings after the first three (straight line) were discovered.
I was sworn to secrecy at the discovery and my wife feared the matter so much she made me drop all participation in the matter and destroy my materials.
