Profile: Tim Matas

Personal background

I am Tim R. Matas, a retired-as-the-result-of-medical-malpractice journalist who does a lot of odd jobs and favors for people and consulting work. I am employed part time as a journalist and own a 160-acre farm, a tractor, two trucks and a half dozen trailers.
I recycle metals, transfer clothing and household items to the needy, do carpentry work and landscaping as well as clean up for little old ladies and slum landlords.
I am active in church and in the thick of local politics.
My wife is a social services director for a nursing home. My daughter is about to graduate from law school, my son is in his first year of law school and I have a grandson who is in his first year of school.
The remainder of my life is occupied by three dogs and this computer.
Thank you
