Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run SETI@home because I think the search for extraterrestrial life is a refreshing change from the ever increasing web culture of global consumerism.

2. My views on SETI@home are varied. I think it is firstly noble, and secondly somewhat naive. It is noble because it's a great idea to search for intelligent life. Statistically, the odds of humanity being the only sentient species are staggering. It is naive because I think any information regarding the possible finding of sentient extraterrestrial life would be immediately silenced by either our own or someone else's government.

3. My suggestions: Would the last person to leave Berkley for Toronto please turn the light off?
