I am a professional photographer/artist based in Miami, FL.
I am also an amateur astonomer with a 5" reflector telescope
with a keen interest in science. I also build custom PC speed demons
in my spare time. I have a network of 3 PC compatible machines
with lots of computer time to dedicate to this project.
I logged several thousand hours in the original SETI@home project
a few years back. I would like to once again put my computers
at home at the service of SETI and possibly the new Stardust project.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always had high expectations for the SETI@home project.
Also had several friends join the effort in the past.
I am plannig to dedicate one of my servers just for distributed
computing projects such as SETI@home.
Building an OCd AMD 3800+ 64bit X2 with 4g memory just to see how
fast I can rip through work units.
