Personal background
Hello. I am a 58-year-old Disabled American Veteran living in San Antonio, Texas. I have always, even as a child, believed there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. Having just discovered this Berkeley web site/project, I am excited to think that, even in a very small way, I am part of a team of researchers, scientists and students who embrace the same hopes as I do: that someday we will actually make contact with intelligent life somewhere in the universe.

My father, God rest his soul, always told me I was a strange kid. LOL! I am still strange, but in a harmless way.

Thank you for allowing me to take part in this SETI project.

Thomas :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI home because I am excited to think I am part of this project and part of a team.

My views about the project are supportive and based somewhat on the first few moments of the movie Independence Day. LOL! Let\\'s hope if we should discover any intelligent life that it will be less aggressive.

Suggestions? Oh,my. I am so new here, I am in no way qualified to even THINK about offering any suggestions. Perhaps later.
