Profile: Rick Boatright

Personal background
I'm a 46 year old boomer/programmer moderator of soc.religion.bahai and active in Baha'i affairs in the central US. I've been running seti@home since the beta days and am happy to be a 99% er.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Both in terms of the physics, and in terms of probability Seti@home looks unlikely to find ET. The answer to the Fermi question may be that no one has come because no one is there. But it would be sad and foolish to not look.
