Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Both in terms of the physics, and in terms of probability Seti@home looks unlikely to find ET. The answer to the Fermi question may be that no one has come because no one is there. But it would be sad and foolish to not look.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
