Profile: Efros

Personal background
Hi I'm a 46 year old Physical Sciences teacher, formerly a techno-chemist, i.e. a chemist with sufficient computing an delectronic skills to design build and use analytical instrumentation principally in the areas of atomic spectrometry and high throughput experimentation.

Educated to PhD level (which I still maintain means Pile it high and Deep) and having spent equal amounts of time in and out of chemistry I still take an active interest in my former area of research.

My hobbies include but are not limited to messing about with pCs in particular and electronics in general. My other pastime is bitching about the ineptitude of the Technology Director at my place of employ!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) Why do you run SETI@home?
I have an Ubuntu box which most of the time is doing nothing so why not! I have two XP pro boxes that will also be running SETI when theya re doing nothing else.

2) What are your views about the project?
Allows me to still feel as if I am part of some kind of research.

3) Any suggestions?
None that are crucial.
