Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've always been fascinated with the possibility of other intelligent beings on other worlds. It seems to me that the ultimate future of the human race, if we prove evolutionarily viable in the long term (I think the jury's still out on that one.), lies in this direction.

Given the extent and marvelous complexity of the universe, it seems inevitable that we will sooner or later encounter other intelligent beings, if our race survives long enough.

Though most humans don't seem to get it, I believe that outer space, with whatever possibilities and perils it holds, truly is the "final frontier" and, perhaps, the last best hope for us all.

This is why I'm willing to support your work with my time and computer resources.

Sincerely,
Paul Perkins
