From: A little town in NW Pennsylvania (I"ll give you a clue... it's famous for it's "Autumn Leaf Festival" every year. People from all over the country (USA) come here to join in the festivities). Also, it is the home town of N'Sync's Kris Kirpatrick! Age: 28 Occupation: Was systems analyst for USACHOICE Internet Services for a time- am now disabled due to several illnesses. Hobbies: I enjoy music (play piano, organ, a little guitar, vocal, etc.). I also enjoy spending time with a special someone (looking for one atm... Do ETL's Exist? I am not certain. However, there has been much evidence which show that there may be indeed other life sustaining planets out there (planets similar to our own). I'm one that has a tendancy to not fully believe in things that can't be seen or felt. It would be beneficial to humans if such life is found to exist, as they may be more advanced and therefore have cures for diseases that we have not yet come up with. The dangers though are that such beings could be hostile, or the human population could likely panic about hearing such news, causing riots, mass hysteria, etc. No one could ever know for sure what the intent of the beings would be once they do find out that we're here. If they would be hostile, who knows what they might be capable of?
I run SETI@home because if there's any way possible that I can help to advance scientific knowledge, I'll do it.
