ET life exists! If they are transmitting, I don't know.
If I had to say, try not to transmit strong signals into space.
When some (one or thing) notices it you will not know if they are friendly.
If the could visit us, they are probably more intelligent then us. And if I look at human behaviour (killing bugs etc.) I think we can expect some behaviour like that from them.
Why joining SETI@home? Just to be sure we will detect them first!
