Profile: Billfred

Personal background
I'm Billfred. I'm 19, and I'm a full-time student at the University of South Carolina, herein referred to as USC. (We were USC before USC was USC. Stew on that.)

I live in Preston College, the residential college on campus, and run their website, prestoncollege.org. I also DJ at WUSC-FM, the campus radio station. And I mentor a high school robotics team, which competes in FIRST, which is totally awesome.

Oh, and I blog, too. The site is at BillfredIndustries.com. Mainly my gripes, but less emo (and fewer quizzes) than a LJ.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home for kicks. And it heats my room in the winter. (I worked in Maine for a month over summer with a bunch of northerners. I know that South Carolina winters are nothing, but still.)

I figure that if SETI@home leads to finding life not of this planet, it'll either speed up the curing of all diseases, wars, and famines, or the end of humanity. In either case, something interesting happens. Soon, I'm hoping to get a group together in Preston to fight/win/kick @#$.
