Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It all started a few years ago in order to just watch that old SETI@home client/screensaver draw diagrams (and do analysis) of the packets on my PC. Later on I figured out that eventhough that was interesting to watch it wasn't a bit productive. So, in order to actually help this community, I switched to the command line client. It was a combination of will to really offer to the community but also to challenge friends to a CPU intensive race!

For the last couple of years I has to quit SAH for various reasons and I just re-entered the community. I saw the changes (BOINC client/project) and it feels like the community and the project is much more organized and drawn to the members and their efford (easier to setup BOINC, easier to manage packets, etc.)

SETI@home is an excellent project that needs and should go on... till we find something out there...
