Profile: Pierre Ferrante

Personal background
Hi, I'm from the Mediterranean Island of Malta, 29 years of age and work on computers with a local Telecoms Company for quite a good portion of the day. I'm also a dedicated Army Reserve Infantry Lance Corporal and hobbies include diving, jogging, abseiling, computers and PC games in general.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1 - If nature allowed conditions to be favourable to support life which evolved in, amongst others, humans, I wouldn't be surprised if similar conditions induced life support and evolution elsewhere.
Only time will tell if and when we might discover anything.

2 - Wouldn't cost to send this beacon but I guess it would be quite useless sending information bearing in mind the fact that communication is made up of the different parties 'understanding' the content and the use of a message.

3 - Interesting project. Always happy to give a hand or in this case some processing power
