I first used the seti@home software back in 1998. Since that computer bit the bullet, I hadn't really thought about it until I seen a show on the Discovery channel that mentioned the project.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run SETI@home because I want to help find signs of inteligent life in the cosmos.
2. I think that the project will eventually suceed and that it will be any one of the thousands of computers on the network that will find the proof.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
