Personal background
I'm a 55 years old electronics engineer living in south of France, close to the sea and the mountain. I've always been fascinated by the universe and its functioning.
I think people don't tumble to the chance they have to live on such a wonderfull machine like the Earth, and deplore they don't take enough interest to it.
That's probably why we'll have in a next future the obligation to find some other planet of the same kind, in another solar system, leaving our earth tainted and resourceless.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I heard about the philosophy of Seti@home long before and thank it was a good idea to 1) try to get in touch with extra terrestrial intelligences and
2) make a super computer with infinite capabilities gathering individual pc's.
We, logically, should'nt be alone in the universe, and if we had some day the chance to communicate with these intelligences, this could be a real enrichment for us.
I hope more and more people in the word will cooperate to the project in order to enlarge our chances of success.
Therefore, let me get more familiar with Seti@home...
