Personal background
Bonjour!

I'm Steve, from Kent in England. I work for a local company developing internal web applications. Its not the worlds greatest job, but it pays enough for me to indulge in my preferred activities which are; (in no preferred order)

Music and Festivals - Summer in England is great for a pitching tent, meeting loads of people and chillin' to laidback tunes or rocking to groovy beats
Juggling - which can be more expensive than you'd imagine
Computers - Which helps with my job
Travelling - The world's a great place; you've just gotta get off your arse and explore it
And keeping my wife accustomed to this lifestyle which we've created - THE most expensive bit!!!!

Adios Amigos.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I joined SETI@home as I have a life long fascination with Life and the Universe (and potentially other life in the universe!). I thought this would be a great way to see if it really does exist (that assumes it's intelligent and wants to be found!...

...would you?) and since I'm usually doing some or all of the above I thought my pc may as well be put to use (I paid too much for it to just sit under my desk.)

Lovin' the BOINC software, I think the app is great. One improvement I'd like to suggest though, is the ability to log messages to a prefered file in addition to the copy feature. It would be a great way to keep track of my pc's activity when I'm not around.
