Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think extraterrestial life exists? (You haven't seen my mother-in-law have you?)
Of course it exists. That already has been proven. They have found water on planets. Water is life.
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
No, I don't think that would be advisable. We need to find them not the other way around.
Why do you run SETI@home?
I run SETI because it includes me as an intrical part of a scientific probing that I would not otherwise be privy to. I wish to learn about all sorts of sciences and SETI offers me the stars.
