Personal background
Hello all. This is my profile. Currently (at the time I wrote this) I am 22 years old living in and around Chicago, IL. I have a BA in Theatre Arts and have major plans to go back to school and see if I can't get myself another degree.
Currently I work for Equity Office Properties as a Technical Support specailist for a domain of 3500 users.
Other than that I am your every day average geek who loves video games, space, and my friends.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.) Do I believe ET life exists. HELL YES!!!! when ya think about all the stars and now with all the information quickly becoming availible about extra solar planets, in my mind there has to be. Just think... there are billions of stars. A good chunk of those stars have planets. And I would like to think that there must be other planets out there that are capable of sustaining life. Besides I hat ethe idea of being alone in this big wide open universe of ours.

2.) Should we transmit a beacon....Ummmmm... well if we are searching for extra terrestrial life... who is to say that some other planet is not doing the same. Instead of hiding ourselves in the cosmos I think we should blast a beacon out and make as big of a sign as we can that says... Hi, we're here. Come and play. Maybe you can teach us a few things, maybe we can teach you things too. Seriously though, we should give basic info about our planet. Day length, Year length, approx position in the galaxy, maybe a couple of the laws of physic that we have discovered. Something in every possible language derivative we know of saying we come in peace. We don't want a fight. That sort of thing. Hopefully it won't be misconstrude to mean your mother smells like rotten fish.

3.) I want to help our search as much as I can. I want to someday meet someone not of this world.
