I am 45 years old and spend my spare time observing the celestial sea from my back yard with my 4 1/2" reflector. I am currently building a 10" dob for deep sky targets. I also enjoy bodyboarding writing and modle building.
I have six kids and have been married to the same lady for twenty five years.
I have just become interested in sketching what I see through the eypiece ( mostly moon creaters thus far). I live in central Ca. US. On cloudy nights I work on ATM projects surf the net, build models or read.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I know life exist beyound our system. What that life is like?.... who can tell?
Will we recognize it when it's found?... who knows?
I don't think we should transmitted a signal just for other life forms to find. Thats like inviting company into your house you know nothing about. There are enough signals being radiated into space from us now that if someone is actively searching and they are close enough to contact us they will find it.
I run the SETI program to help with the search. Otherwise my computer is a waisted investment. I hardly use its real capabilities at all.
