Transmitting a beacon... erm... havent we been doing that already (T.V. transmissions...)???
Oh, you mean a specific transmission, well what are you going to say/transmit?
I run SETI 'cause I feel it is a worthwhile use of my PC's time when I'm away from it, although I have it running 24/7 regardless.
As regards the project... well we're beating IBM's super computer in terms of cost but more importantly in terms of TeraFLOPS, aint that enough??? |
