Profile: Kleber_Alanis

Personal background
Kleber Alanis, Jan 1978, IT Professional in Florida, I like to read, surf the net, listen to all kinds of music (sorry no hip hop allowed in my ears), play online video games like Ghost Recon, and spend time with my family (I'm a father of a 6 years old beautiful daughter and a strong and hansom 4 months kid). I was born and raise in Reynosa, Mexico and living in St. Pete / Tampa area since 2004. So far I’ve been enjoying America and it’s most wonderful people, I’ve go to Cabo Canaveral to see the NASA it’s really inspiring, being employed by the NASA has been my dream since childhood, but it’s a shame for me that I cannot be employed there as they only accept US born citizens, I can wait ten thousand trillions years to be born again 10 miles north of my home town so I can be US citizen and work there meanwhile I’m very proud of Mexico, it’s history and it’s my people, I look forward to return to my country later.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@Home because I like my computer to be userful to somebody/something when I'm not using it.

My views about the SETI project, is that's a TOTAL waste of money, but with the help of my super -moustro- computer and other we can have this total waste of taxpayers money turn into a less than a total waste, after all who is going to believe we did receive that WOW signal back in the nineties, that was probably just a fake story in order to justify the project, but anyway, even if we intercept a signal from a far away planet, we will never be able to communicate effectively because of the speed of light, by the time we intercept a signal the people who sent it will be long way dead, and their planets probably suck out by their local convenience black hole near by.

It will be interesting to see and read successful stories about intercepted alien signal that will be classified because of national security and other stuff, but hey, it's just me and my pessimistic views.. I hope you enjoyed reading it.. as I had trouble writing it..hahah
Cheers
