Personal background
I am a Freshman at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. I enjoy photography, model railroads, listening to music, among other things.

Currently, I use a dinosaur of a computer, compared to what a lot of other people are using, but I don't really mind that much, until I try to launch Photoshop, but even then, I recently upgraded my photoshop usage from a G3/500MHz processor, to a 933MHz Pentium III, which has been performing very well.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I enjoy SETI @ Home for multiple reasons. First, I enjoy gratuitous use of my computing horsepower. I am gone a lot of the day, why should my computer just be sitting around, idling? I want to share my computing oomph with the world. Additionally, I run SETI for the competitive aspect. I can't exactly compete with most people, but in theory I can get a whole bunch of older computers, and it would be a bit easier to compete like that.

The project itself, I don't really have any suggestions for. I'll admit to not even being that interested in finding the aliens, but SETI@Home is the project I've done the most of, so it is the one I'm committing myself to.
