Personal background
HmmZ...

Born and raised Milford, Connecticut of the USA and currently living at the ripe old age of 21. Been Active Duty USAF for last two years and am currently stationed on the tiny island of Okinawa approx. 300mi south of mainland Japan. Read a little snippet about this project in a computer book and it cought my interest. My computer is always online and I work 9-12 hours a day so it feels good putting it to good use when i'm not around. Don't really have any interesting hobbies, but every so often I get out of my lazy spell and attempt to do something productive.

Three months of trial and error and a years worth of small tweaks and managed to create a fucntional gaming clan site. Don't think it's to shabby for someone with no prior knowledge of html.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

1) Built a new computer and wanted to put it to good use when i'm not around. Find it hard to believe that in the vastness of space we're the only living species, so why not contribute to science with this project.

2) Seems like a pretty clever method to crunch numbers on a low budget. Aside from that I haven't been around long enough to contribute any intelligent conversation.
