Personal background
Hello,

My name is Carles, I'm from Barcelona and I'm living in Barcelona too.

I studied computer engineer in FIB and I did my final project degree in EFREI.

I'm working with Oracle, HP-UX, SAP,... and studying management degree in UOC.

My hobbies are sports and, after to be in Paris for 6 months, food and wines! Unfortunatelly my job takes quite time and I can't practice too much sports I like, but I've always time to eat or drink!

I'm also FC Barcelona supporter and Bruce Springsteen fan.

Obviously I like computers, internet,... But when you're always at office working with them you want to do something different.

Cheers!

Carles
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In fact, I knew SETI@home project when I was studying.

In some university computers there were a little green icon in taskbar: "SETI@home". I never heard about and I didn't know if it was a critical service or just an instant messenger software, media player,...

I decided to investigate a little bit on internet and I found the old SETI@Home site. It was few weeks after to read "The Universe. From flat Earth to Quasars" (Isaac Asimov) and all about universe, intelligent life out of Earth,... were really interesting for me.

And the day after I installed SETI@Home software at home.

Unfortunatelly I had modem connection and it was quite expensive and my computer was old, so my processed work wasn't too much. I kept software installed but I forgot it. Few months later I changed computer but I didn't remember SETI project and didn't install it.

But in may i read a news about SETI@Home and Einstein@Home projects and my interest on has grown again, so I downloaded new client software and here we're!
