Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I've always been fascinated by the science fiction, and through the years, I have begun to think that a considerable part of the science fiction could reflect the next future. I cannot be sure that an other intelligence being could communicate through the immense distances of the universe, moreover considering that they should use a recognizable radio signal.
However, I find that the SETI project is a fair endeavor. For that, hoping that something can be found, at least in 2 or 3 of my PCs, I'll run SETI@Home every day. It's my hope that, soon or later, we can confirm that we are not alone in the immensity of the universe and, maybe they could be not so far away from us. ;-) |
