Profile: ALAN

Personal background
Hi im Alan, almost 50 years old and have spent all my life in Liverpool.
I was a developer within the IT/Communications sector for the last 20 years, and i'm now a conductor on the railways. A Liverpool FC fanatic, but, my
other interests revolve around IT and science fiction/fact.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm certain extraterrestrial life exists and in our ever expanding Universe
it is getting further and further away from us. May be we already have had encounters, (unexplained bacterium and viruses), something we just dont recognise as a life form. After all who said life forms have to be carbon based,
or have I watched too much Star Trek.
I think contracting life threatening diseases would be my major concern to ourselves and giving our diseases to other life forms.

The Voyager project seemed to have a good balance of life on earth for transmission, but, the Human genome could now be used as an addition to
the information.

I would like SETI to find definate proof of extra terrestial life, and
I would love it if the transmission was analyzed by my PC.
