Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, ETL exists. But completely different of what we earthlings think about. The orbit is much bigger than we can imagine - and what comes after the "visible" edge of space?

The universe is a self identical structure in multi dimensions. Atoms - galaxies. Electrons - Planets. Where is the difference? What if, if much bigger relations exist? What if, if live is existing on electrons spinning 'round inside of atoms?

There is so much fantasy - possibilities en mass. So why not ETL?

Danger of course. But: no risk - no fun! Or better: Carpe Diem. Each encouter with unknown stuff opens up possibilities - and of course risks. IMHO, the mankind is able to kill itself before we die of ET encounters.

2. Why not. Energy, pictures, sound.

3. Just for fun. I love computers and competition ;-)
I'm sure I find a good gaussian - and the best pulse ever ...
