I am a computer programmer for a major Medical Software Vendor, and have been an avid Sci-Fic/Fantasy fan since as far back as I can remember. Star Trek, Babylon 5 and Stargate are personal favorites.
Just being able to help in locating signals for SETI is quite a thrill for me.

Is there intelligent life outside of our little spec in the universe? God I sure hope so. I would hate to think our pitiful race is all there is to offer in this universe.
I just have to wonder, if there is something out there besides us, are they using the same means to communicate that we do, such that what we are looking for may not be the right thing at all, but for now I suppose its better than nothing else, and if I can be of some small help in learning about the place we all call home and help in finding others, I'm more than willing to assist.
