Personal background

Hi there,

Not much to say about me - I'm an Engineer in the Power business, developing Combined Heat and Power Stations with a pretty wide range of interests.

Always been interested in the great unknowns, but keep a very open mind about possibilities. We got a lot of water around us as well as space over our heads. . . who knows what we'll find - if anything!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

1. I think the chances are in favour of it! Its just a matter of time really. If we find it its more likely to be organisms etc. The alternative is for us to BE found. The larger the craft and the further we travel the more likely both means comes.

2. The worlds in more than a bit of chaos right now. Before deciding whether to send anything, an agreement has to be reached on what happens if someone turns up in response?

3. Project is great. if nothing else, the amount of data being received and processed in different ways can only help our knowledge of what is around. Keep it going guys!
