I am a female, from Puerto Rico but raised in Brooklyn, New York City. I am a young 58 years old counseling psychologist. My expertise in psychology are health crisis, and transcendental psychology. I have always been very interested in the Universe. I am really hoping that in my lifetime it will be scientifically proven that we are not alone in the Universe (I am sure we are not). I have two grandchildren (age 2 and 4 months) and I am sure that in their lifetime space travel to other worlds will be possible. I seat with them in front of my SETI Home screen and they seem to enjoy it as much as I do. I talk to them about the SETI program and about the importance of intergalactical peace. I am very proud to be part of the SETI program.

I certaintly think tha extraterrestrial life exists. I think humans will discover it through radio signals. The benefits will be great because we may be able to exchange positive information. The dangers could be FEAR of the unknown which could make us act in an unrational manner. Also, I am sure that also there are hostile inhabitants in other Worlds and that would be dangerous, but fear of the unknown shouldn't stop our efforts of discovering Truth.
I think we should do everything possible to let our presence known, but beforehand we should have a strategic plan developed in order to protect our planet.
I run a SETI home program because everyone should put their "grain of sand"in order to proof that we are not alone in space. I am also ""egotistical" about it - I know "something"will happen and I want to be part of it as I am sure =
deep in my being - that we are not alone and that ET is out-there trying to get in touch with us. The project (and of course the people behind) is great,
is a very ambitius one (in the positive sense) and it really believes in its work and won't allow circumstance intervene with its work. |
