Profile: Joseph Berry

Personal background
Born in 1974, I was raised in Nottingham before studying Psychology at the University of Birmingham, UK. I worked for several years as a web applications consultant and am now involved in e-learning back at the University. Since 1999 I have travelled extensively in Latin America, and on many long bus journeys began to write speculative fiction.

I have written a novel, The Forgotten Deity, which was a learning experience, and am working on a second, Moth at the Window, which will hopefully be good enough to interest a publisher.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home offers the opportunity for discovery that most of us do not have in our day-to-day lives. This opportunity could be as important for the individual as first contact would be for mankind.
