1. When there is concrete proof, I will gladly embrace the notion of extraterrestial life. Until then, one can hope...
Some people say they are alredy here but I'm not so convinced. Watch the skies!! Benefits? - greater understanding of the universe, technological advancement, religious enlightenment etc.
Downside? - remember what happened to Native Americans, the Inca, Aboriginals.
2. Yes, we should transmit a beacon saying we are here, pop in for a chat.
3. I run SETI@home to help in the search for life. If even one tenth of the money spent on the arms race was spent on projects like this, we would really get somewhere. Keep up the good work!! |
