Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well it all started by looking for a screensaver (before BOINC) and downloading and running seti@home. I got to thinking about how much downtime my computer had, and thought it would be really cool to put that cycletime to a real use for something other than writing up a word doc, or playing a game. I lost my login and most my credits, so I started a new account when I built my new computer, downloaded bionic, it caused all three of my systems to crash so hard, re-formatting the HDD was my only option, I got a news letter in my email and just came back to the project 12-11-06, So far it looks like the main BOINC bugs have been worked out, and currently have two computers on the project, Main System is running Seti@home and Project Tanpaku when Seti doesnt have work for it, Second system is running Seti@home with Spinhenge as backup.
