Personal background
i'm a 17yr old a level student from peterborough who goes to peterborough regional college, i study ict, i love astronomy, physics and am greatly interseted by string theory and the possibility of ftl transport.
I read a lot, mostly science fiction, play a lot of cs and sit down a lot, not venturing outside lest my pasty programmers skin be burned with the suns powerful radiation.
Dont do much excercise as i suffer from myalgic encephalitis, (m.e) yet somehow still remain thin. i get exhauseted easily so i can spend more time hacking! eerr i mean testing computer security
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
i guess i run seti@home because i hold a life long interest in the exploration of space, reading and watching a lot of sf i guess i want to be a part of a chance to communicate with alien life. i think this project is a great idea, making use of the millions of wasted computer hours, that now can be used to listen for that all important signal. I'd be great ifwe could get a supercomputer, maybe we could all chip in?!
