I think SETI@home is a great idea to use a lot of systems to analyse the packages. No data processing center would be able to analyse that large number of packages. We are not alone in this gigantic universe. I do not really think that we will find ET-life, cause if we take a look at our time span of existence and compare that with the age of the universe, the chance that inteligent life coexistent is very small. But that little chance to find ET-life should be taken.
