Well, I have study UNIX since 1991, I know it's not Linux, but it was a god start. Some in time at the end of 1995 found Linux and then I start to use it, After begin to studying and put my first internet cafe in 1996, but in those days almost anybody knows who was that and I have no clients, I close because a Public University contract me to manage they e-mail server based on Linux. I put many services to work and project changes to implement it on diverse services like transparent proxy, DNS, webmail, virtual domains, routing filtering, monitoring services and many other projects, with a team of 3 more people.
In 1999 they send me to the COMDEX XX aniversary and there I saw and has a little talk with Linus Torvalds (creator of Linux), Patrick Volkerding (creator of Slackware), Nobody (the hacker), Steve Jobs (from Apple) and many others. Of course, close to the end, only saw from certain distance to Bill Gates because he went go with to much protection agents.
A thing I notice strange was the SCO company on a Linux stage, I remember that company distributing their products with this remark: "...SCO....a Microsoft company..." or something like that, I asked to one person from SCO about wath means SCO from Microsoft in that place, but answer me saying there is no SCO from Microsoft, SCO uses Microsoft to distribute SCO software.
