| I'm from La Cygne, Ks and Im 48 years old. I work as a General Contractor in Residential Construction. One of my Hobbies are working with SETI to search for life in our beautiful Universe. I have always been interested in space exploration. I have always dreamed of traveling through space,like the crew of the StarShip Enterprise. I know we can't be alone and that their must be life somewhere else in space. I asked myself where does space end, I believe it doesn't end. Their is always something new to discover and that why I love to look at the stars,the deep black sky at night, and be glad I don't live in a big city so I can't see how beautiful the night sky is. I also wonder how the Universe was born. We all have different equations for the Universe existence and after all theirs alway another why question and How. I wonder who designed the Universe was it God or was it the Big Bang Theroy. If it was the bang theroy, what started the big Bang. Something or being created Universe. I will always wonder what created the something or being. I guess their is always a question to answer. Will the human race ever be able to answer that question in time to save ourselves from destruction, I wonder. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because I believe we are not the only being that exist in the Universe. I believe that are no set rules for life to exist elsewhere. We all know that even animals here on earth breathe differently. Most species here on earth have to have water, oxygen, and some time of food to consume. But, maybe other species of life elsewhere don't have to have the same materials to exits. Maybe they breathe Hydrogen or some other gas that would be toxic to us. Just maybe they absorb their food through their skin for example. It may sound crazy but I believe we must look at all possiblities. Nature rules that exist on earth may not exist elsewhere in the Universe. All ideas are possible and we must not leave any idea out of the equation. That why I run SETI@home because I'm looking for that posiblility of life elsewhere and I want to do my part in finding that life.
I also think that we won't find what were looking for in Radio Waves Etc. They might have a different way to comunicate. Telepathy might be a posiblility to look at. Their inteligence might be far superior to our inteligence and we won't know until we find them. In fact we hope their peaceful race of beings. |
