My name is Robb Jones. I'm a 21 year old Computer Programming student from South Carolina. I love Astronomy and Cosmology and have big dreams for the future concerning both of these (Perhaps writing software such as Seti@Home).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.Why do you run SETI@home?
Because I love the ingenius concept that it uses. Also I look up at the sky at night think of all the billions and billions of stars, circling within countless galaxies, in a vast universe that spreads out into eternity and can not come to the belief that we are alone...
2.What are your views about the project?
I feel that the idea behind the Seti@Home project is remarkable. It's great to know that there are so many people out there who are willing to donate their computer time to scientific research.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
