I am currently an Undergraduate student at Radford University (located in southwest VA) I came into the school as an Earth and Space major, but later decided to pick up a Physics major for the fun of it.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have spent time doing all the fun energy calculations for how much power is wasted, coal is burnt and CO2 released into the atmosphere for the amount of idle time my computer has. The number was big. That pushed me towards running BOINC to at least give me a reason to leave my computer on so that I do not have to boot up just to check my email.
