Profile: Sherry

Personal background
Star Trek fan from way back. My hobbies are making costumes, fishing and gardening, not necessarily in that order. Native Floridian female living on the Space Coast! Married, no kids but 3 dogs and 4 cats and one husband. Hubbie is also a Trek fan. Profession is a wildlife biologist stuck in a bureaucratic role.

We are both members of the Klingon Legion of Assault Warriors.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Of course life exists elsewhere. The universe is limitless and the odds definitely favor life evolving somewhere else and probably intelligent at that. They may be unreachable for us but we are not alone.

2. Of course we should transmit for others. Isn't that we are doing at SETI? Analyzing data to detect another's beacon? The information should include data about our species, location and common languages.

3. Why not run it? My contribution may be small but we all work together. And who knows, someone may actually hit the jackpot some day.
