I'm a music students at UC Berkeley, 34, and enjoy writing, rock climbing, reading, and hiking as well as composing music for films, singing, and playing tuba in the orchestra.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I pretty much think that my computer needs to be put to good use. Adding its brain to a world wide supercomputer network sounds like a good service. SETI is the only organization that I know of to utilize this now common potential. If anyone knows of any other organization, please let me know.

My views on alien life:

There's no reason that alien life cannot exist. We are the example of that. I doubt that discovering alien life at this point in human evolution will help us any. We will probably just switch our predjudices and fantasies in their direction instead of among each other, but I feel it will not hurt either. The space-time continuum will keep us in our crib.
