I started out as a Seti@home participant a little over 5 years ago and have pretty much been participating continually. My old seti@home account has over 1000 work hours completed (actual cpu usage is over 2.5 years) but since my old email address is no longer valid I can't transfer my account to the new Boinc. My hope is that one day we will discover once and for all that there is life out there and not just life but intelligent life. I'm just an average joe who likes science and this allows me to participate in some small way.
