Hello - from Lehigh Acres, Florida, USA. I'm a 52 year young, grandfather, retail manager, who escapes the daily chaos in life by playing with my home computer network and the internet. I enjoy playing computer games, presently DOOM 3. I am confined to my home with a medical injury to my left knee, so I spend lots of time on my computer, whether I like it or not. I am married to a wonderful woman, and I have 5 sons, one of which has given me a grandson. I build all my own computers.
This machine utilizes: 1)AMD XP 3000+; 2)ASUS A7N8X-E motherboard; 3)GeForce FX5200 graphics card; 4)SATA Western Digital RAPTOR 10,000rpm 79Gb hard drive; 5)Ethernet networked to 3 other machines in my home (2 in my office, my wife's and my youngest son's)which are internet connected through Direcway Satellite as it is the only broadband service we can get in the area that we live; 6)Windows XP Home.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because, I like to believe that in some small way, I am helping to benefit mankind. Even from my chair at home. I believe the project is worth its' weight in gold, and have been tinkering with SETI@home since it first began. With the infinite number of galaxies in the universe, I continue to "wonder" if we are alone within it. I like to think that there is intelligent life beyond our own planet, and hope, that in the near future, we will find it...
