Personal background
Aerospace Engineering student and head of the AIAA chapter on campus.

I have personal & home machines running SETI as well as spare compute cycles from the ACM (computer) and WPIWA (ham radio) clubs on campus.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
What a shame it would be if signals were being sent to Earth and we never received it. Worse yet, what if we received it but never processed the data to detect it? We have to keep looking, and keep improving our methods of finding it.
