Personal background
My name is Hans-Ulrich Meyer, a horrible ordinary and widespread name in germany, mostly used as a typical male pseudonyme. I was born in the Black Forrest in 1958, but grew up in the western part of the "Wall-City" Berlin since the early sixties. I couldn't imagine to live in any other german city, because in these days the "golden (nineteen)twentieth" seem to come back, when this place was the center and meltingpot of Europe.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home?
Why not? Isn't it a project worth to be supported? I think it is.
I believe, the probability that there exist more kinds of life out
in the universe, is pretty high. On the other side, the probability
that we will never get contact is maybe higher. Who knows?
We should try our luck!

Best wishes to all partners in mind -
Hans
