Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. No, I personally do not think that there are any ET's...But I do think that this information could be usefull for other technologies and discoveries. I do think that if there is a such thing as a real "ET" I would have to say that just monitoring radio frequencies using human techniques would not be very effective.

2. Yes I do think that we should send a beacon signal as means of communicating with our selves thousands of years from now. If by the smallest amount of chance that an "ET" could comprehend it, it would be useful for showing our presence. I think that we should send things about history and aspects of every day life as well as who we are.

3. I run SETI@home because I think that we may be able to use this information in the future. We may also discover other things out there besides alien life forms. I am just doing my part to help!

I suggest that Setti@home can get more users by offering discounts and other perks that would make it more than just a service for researchers.
