Personal background
Hey, I'm not really anything but your average guy. But if you really want to know, I'll tell you a little something about me. At this current time I'm a student at North Royalton. I have an annoying habbit of arguing with anyone about anything I know even a little bit about. I also love to read, mostly I read fiction books but i do enjoy the non-fiction book every once in a while. I have intrests in physics, chemistry, engineering, history, literature, poetry, music, mostly any fantasy, myth, or legends. I'm also very into the study of what many like to call magick or wiccan. The craft in itself and those who practiced it and its history. Physics though is what intrests me the most. Exspecially the Theory of Relativity, Quantum mechanics, String Theory, black holes and there effects and all such things as those. If anyone though, I'd like to give credit for my intrests to my E/P/S teacher, Mr Boch. And one last thing, Id like to quote my mother-"you know, you were supposed to be a nerd, but you were to lazy."
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think alien life exists. If it didn't, the universe would be a waste of space. The chances that human life on our planet and our atmoshphere is the only kind like it in the universe, I think, is proposterous. It would be terrible if it were like that, but I'd be willing to give my life that there is life elsewhere. The chances of of discovering it I think though is slim. The universe has been proven to be ever expanding. Even setting that aside, the wars that still rage on our planet will keep any aliens away from our planet for quite a while. I believe they have already found us but there waiting for us to find peice and unity. When that happens, I think all the advancements our species has discovered will pale in comparison to what we could do if we all worked simultaneously. The one danger I think we have is if we do find aliens, is if that race is less advanced then us. What will humans do then? Help them out by giving them a little push? Hold them back? Would we control there lives and andvancement in order to create a society more to what we would want from them? Or would we let them live out there own problems and live naturally? Or another question would be what if the opposite happens? Would they do things to us? Or leave us alone? I can't say one way or the other but I can gaurentee if we dont find peace amongst ourselves we may never find life elsewhere...and if we do and wars still rage...space is going to become a very dangerous place for us, And the aliens that may be out there.
