| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because I want to do something useful with all the wasted power my computers consume during their Uptime. SETI@home is one of the best ideas I have ever seen on the net.
The project shows impressivly, how many people on Earth are willing to contribute for a greater goal. I hope that the results of SETI@Home, whatever they may be, will have their place in the books of history. May it be the success of the project "Hi, Alien!", or may it be just the wish of the people to make contact. Future generations will perhaps make an example of this project.
I hope SETI@Home stays alive, and won´t be corrupted by money or power struggles. |
